Sandra Bullock Made Austin Her Home  3/25/05

Miss Congeniality star Sandra Bullock decided to quit Los Angeles in favor of Austin after generous locals made sure she got back to her hotel safely after a drunken night out in the Texan city. 

The 40-year-old screen beauty, who also has a home in New York City, has no desire to live Los Angeles because she doesn't want to be surrounded by the Hollywood community. She says, "I might have been a little drunk the first night (spent in Austin). 

But the people were so incredibly helpful getting me home that I just felt, 'Wow! If I can be alone here and wind up at home...' Everything was still intact. I felt like this was a good place for me to live." "I didn't want my personality to become what I did or didn't have, and it was getting that way."
