Andie MacDowell Treats Her Housekeeper to a Makeover on Oprah  3/27/05

Andie MacDowell made the most of promoting new movie Beauty Shop - she set up a surprise makeover for her housekeeper during an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's daytime show.

Rather than chat about the film, the actress decided to treat her pal, also called Andie, who takes care of her home in North Carolina.

During yesterday's (25MAR05) makeover show, MacDowell told Oprah, "She's beautiful inside and out, but she doesn't know it... She is like a warm spirit within the house and my kids all love her."

The actress treated her friend to a total makeover at her favorite North Carolina beauty parlor, which left the mum of four thrilled.

The housekeeper said, "I love her like a sister and this makes me feel like she does know how I feel about her."

MacDowell was joined by Beauty Shop co-stars KEVIN BACON and QUEEN LATIFAH on the makeover Oprah show.
