Sharon Osbourne Confused by Success  3/27/05

Sharon Osbourne remains stunned at the endless stream of lucrative job offers she's received since reality TV series The Osbournes launched, because she deems her husband Ozzy the star of the show. Outspoken Sharon credits middle age with giving her the maturity to appreciate the opportunities thrown her way - which have helped her earn millions of dollars and worldwide fame since the TV debut of The Osbournes in 2002. 

But despite reveling in the exiting challenges she takes on, she struggles to understand why she's such an appealing prospect in the entertainment world - because she was convinced she only played a minor role on the reality show. 

Osbourne, who makes her London stage debut next month (APR05) in The Vagina Monologues, says, "It's all happened by accident. Ozzy is the star of the show, not me. "I'm a late bloomer. At 52 I've had all these opportunities handed to me. I'd be stupid not to take advantage of them. "And because they've happened so late in life I'm more able to handle them and enjoy every minute. And if it all stops tomorrow. I've had a great time."
