Wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had no problem accepting his role as a gay bodyguard in recent sequel Be Cool - because he thinks people should be left to do whatever they want with their lives.

The tough guy actor is amazed homosexuality continues to remain an issue in Hollywood, when there are matters far more pressing to be dealt with.

He says, "I'm comfortable and secure with my own sexuality. I'm a very liberal guy, especially when it comes to sexuality and to gayness.

"My ideology of life is that you can do anything you want, period, as long as you don't mess with kids."
