Chuck D Apologizes to Fans for Flavor Flav's Reality Shows  3/30/05

Public Enemy frontman Chuck D has issued an apology to fans for bandmate Flavor Flav's reality shows The Surreal Life and Strange Love.

The hardcore rapper admits he's ashamed of his former sidekick, who has been romancing Danish diva Brigitte Nielsen on TV shows in America for the past six months.

In an internet posting on his website, Chuck D blasts, "His character and private issues are being trashed in front of millions for the mere sake of profit and ratings."

The rapper admits he's particularly upset by footage on Strange Love, which shows conflicts between Flav and his six estranged children.

A defensive Flaw, real name William Drayton, says, "I wish Chuck would've come to me first."
