Nicole Kidman Wants Her Kids to Sound Aussie  3/31/05

Nicole Kidman has discovered one major downside of her Hollywood career - her children speak with American accents. The sexy Australian Moulin Rouge! star relocated to Los Angeles when she shot to fame in Days of Thunder and subsequently married Tom Cruise, with whom she adopted two children. And while she wishes her children - Isabella and Connor - would develop an Australian twang, she's relieved they've developed a close connection to their mother's homeland. 

She says, "(They) have American accents, although I wish they did have Aussie accents. "They have an enormous amount of friends here and I'm very proud that they get to see this country and be a part of it."
