American
Idol March 2nd “Four More Chopped” 3/3/06
By Marcus
We were treated to the
country voice of Idol winner Carrie Underwood. Let’s
hope the contestants were not only watching with their eyes, but listening
with their ears to a great young singer. Why?
Because four of the hopefuls were sent packing. Here is a brief
recap of those four.
Brenna the Great Ego was the first to go. She wants fame, fortune,
applause, and adoration. Actually, she not only wants it, but demands it.
But I really don’t see her as a major recording star, but more as a
headliner for a Vegas hotel. Not one of the mega resorts, but something a
little more intimate where she can strike a sexy pose and delude herself
that she is fantastic.
The next woman to go was Heather the Goat Herder. Heather has a
beautiful natural presence that is not “put on” or artificial. She
will make it in life, be that as a singer or a rancher. And even with all
that pressure of having to say goodbye, her farewell song was on target. I
hope that we hear from her again.
The first man voted off was David the Crooner. Had he not picked a
Sinatra song, he would still be in the competition. Granted he doesn’t
have the best vocals, but he has cute looks, curly hair, and a lean clean
physique. With that unique combination, I can’t wait for him to perform
live.
Last voted off was Jose the Sway. I admit that I was totally
unprepared for his departure before Baby Face Kevin. Those who think that
Kevin has any chance of being an American Idol must be eating copies of
Mad Magazine because Kevin could be that magazine’s front cover. Sway
needs to find confidence and a good manager.
