Britney Spears Snaps Up Hawaiian Love Nest  3/3/06

Pop star Britney Spears has splashed out on a $5.1 million mansion in Hawaii as a love nest for her and husband Kevin Federline.

According to reports, the singer hopes the pad will help the couple patch up their marital problems.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place.

"They have been on rocky ground for some time now and while Kev was away recording his album she decided she had to do something to make their relationship work.

"She had her heart set on Maui. It's one of her favorite places in the world."

Spears vacationed on the US paradise isle last month (FEB06) with her baby son Sean Preston.
