Josh Hartnett Slams Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan's Negative Influence  3/21/06

Black Hawk Down star Josh Hartnett has slammed Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton for setting an appalling example to their fans.

The American actor fears the young stars are promoting a life of self-obsession and shallowness - and young people are aspiring to be just like them.

He says, "What scares me with pop culture is that people are starting to think that's the way they should be.

"Looking at my younger brother and sister and their friends, seeing my little sister's friends looking, like, to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton - I just don't think that's anything to strive for.

"I don't think those girls are too happy. And it's like, the culture is so focused on a more self-oriented, kind of luck-based mentality. It's just like get what's good for you."
