Marcia Cross Chose Future Husband in Flower Shop  3/23/06

Actress Marcia Cross spotted her future husband in a flower shop - when he was ordering flowers for another woman.

The Desperate Housewives beauty was browsing in the store when she saw a handsome stranger and was immediately drawn to him.

And Cross accepted businessman Tom Mahoney's marriage proposal just months later.

She explains, " I followed him around the shop and I liked the way he talked to the shop people and he was very specific about the flowers he was ordering.

"He had this sort of lovely voice, I just really liked who he was. I actually left before he saw me."

Cross spoke with one of the store's employees, who was outside taking a smoke break, and asked if she knew who the man was.

She adds, "I started to leave and she said, 'Do you want to leave your phone number?'

"So I wrote my number and I wrote, 'If it doesn't work out...'

"Cause I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Two week later he called."
