Jennifer Aniston Devastated by Therapist's Death  3/24/06

Jennifer Aniston was left devastated when her therapist died in December 2004 - just one month before her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt was made official.

The former Friends star's marriage was in tatters when her beloved doctor passed away, forcing her to work through the pain of the split on her own.

She explains, "When your shrink dies, you just go, 'Really? Is this some kind of cosmic joke?' I will never forget that moment. It was devastating.

"That December, I knew that everything was sort of... coming. Just as I arrived at the threshold to this grand door."
