Actress Carmen Electra researched her latest movie role as a porn star by digging out her own collection of X-rated films.

Electra, who shot to fame after posing for Playboy in 1996, stars as porn actress Candy Fiveways in new British comedy I Want Candy.

The 34-year-old says, "I'm no stranger to watching porn but I did sort of have to brush up on a couple, you know, dusted off a few old porn films in the closet.

"I thought it would be really fun to play a porn star in a way that's really smart and funny and sweet."
