Stone Avoids a "Mess" in Bahamas Studio
3/26/07
British soul star Joss Stone insisted on recording her new album in
seclusion in the Bahamas because she didn't want to repeat her
"messy" second CD.
The singer booked into reggae legend Bob Marley's studio Compass Point
with producer Raphael Saadiq to record Introducing Joss Stone and she's
delighted with the way the album turned out.
She says, "If everybody's mind was involved then it would be
(first album) The Soul Sessions again or (second album) Mind, Body &
Soul, which was a complete muddled-up mess.
"It wasn't an album; it was a CD with a bunch of songs on
it."
