Eminem Seeks to Gag Wife  3/26/07

Rapper Eminem is seeking a gag order against his estranged wife Kimberly Mathers, to protect their daughter from hearing negative comments about her famous father.

The couple split for the second time last year (APR06), just 82 days after their second marriage (14JAN06). They have an 11-year-old Hailie Jade together, and were sharing parenting of Hailie's cousin Alaina while they were together.

The hip-hop star, real name Marshall Mathers III, was horrified when Kimberly went on local Detroit, Michigan radio station WKQI-FM last month (FEB07), declaring, "I can't stand him. He's an absolutely horrible person, and he gets worse every day. I vomit in my mouth whenever I'm around him or I hear his name. He's not very well endowed. If you're going to have sex with Marshall, make sure you have a little blue pill (Viagra), because otherwise it does not work."

Eminem filed a motion in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mt Clemens, Michigan last week (ends23MAR07) seeking to block Kimberly from making "derogatory, disparaging, inflammatory and otherwise negative comments" about him, claiming the remarks could hurt their daughter.

The motion reads, "Complicating the situation for the child is the fact that her father is an internationally known public figure. It is simply impossible for her to be shielded from the kind of media campaign currently being waged by Kimberly against Eminem."

Eminem is scheduled to appear in court later today (26MAR07) to support his motion.
