Britney Spears "Death Threats" Probed by FBI  3/10/08

Britney Spears has requested Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) protection after receiving a string of death threats from an alleged stalker.

The Toxic hitmaker called on the agency after she was reportedly sent a number of letters, including one on how to make a bomb.

The 26-year-old has also received several packages containing notes on the Middle East and Israel.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman says, "We have been looking at allegations that have cropped up in the past couple of months."
