Kate Hudson Gun Alert Sparked by "Student Filmmakers"  3/12/08

Police have confirmed the "armed intruders" arrested at Kate Hudson's New York City home on Tuesday (11Mar08) were student filmmakers shooting a project at the building.

Police were called to the property after a woman spotted three men with what appeared to be a rifle on the roof of the actress' home.

When they arrived, cops found the men carrying a "prop gun" and a "script" - the young identified males claimed they were shooting a student movie and had no idea Hudson lived in the building, reports website TMZ.
