Bye, Bye to an American Idol Hopeful

March 12, 2008 Results Show

Over twenty-nine millions votes were cast to decided which idol will be paddling back home. Interestingly, that is 7 million votes LESS than last week.

Could that decrease of twenty percent be interpreted that the fans are losing interest in this long running show? Perhaps some of last week voters were so upset that their favorites were sent home that they were turned off? Whatever the explanation, tonight those 29 million votes shut down the dream of one of the remaining twelve.

The bottom three included Syesha Mercado who just didn’t make a good impression last night. But tonight she sparkled when she sang “Got To Get You Into My Life.” She is a very attractive personable performer.

Also in the bottom three was Kristy Lee Cook who is finding her nitch as a country western singer. She is not Idol material but perhaps will be a star on the Grand Ole Opry

Finally the last of the bottom three was David Hernandez. He is a handsome man and like Syesha, the camera loves him.

But of those three hopefuls, the one with the fewest votes and the one whose dreams were crushed was David Hernandez.
