Ashlee Simpson Steers Clear of Pete Wentz's Motorcycle  3/18/08

Singer/actress Ashlee Simpson refuses to ride pillion on the motorcycle she recently bought her boyfriend Pete Wentz until the rocker learns to drive it properly.

Simpson treated the Fall Out Boy star to a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle for Christmas (07), but has no plans to join him on the open road just yet.

Wentz tells website People Magazine, "When we went to get it, I bought my helmet and I was like, 'You should probably buy a helmet, so we can ride together.'

"She was like, 'I'm not going to buy a helmet, I'm not going to ride with you

- until you actually know what you are doing.'"

And Wentz admits he's struggling with his new two-wheel vehicle.

He adds, "I was riding yesterday. I didn't realize how hard a motorcycle was to ride. I'd only seen it on TV, and in movies, and I was like, 'I want to ride one!', but they're f**king hard to ride."
