Kate Moss Taxi Gift  3/25/08

Supermodel Kate Moss has received an unusual gift from her friends - an original London black cab.

Moss was reportedly given the car by a group of pals - including fashion designer Sadie Frost - as a thank you for all of the gifts they have received from the 34-year-old over the years, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

The star took delivery of the $80,000 vehicle last week (ends23Mar08) and has already been photographed behind the wheel, driving her friends from a North London pub back to her St John's Wood home.

Moss joins a long line of celebrities who have purchased one of the iconic cabs - in 2003 California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger paid to have one of the vehicles shipped out to his U.S. home and late movie director Stanley Kubrick was often seen driving his own black cab near his Hertfordshire, England, home.
