Britney Spears Sitcom Rumored to be in the Works  3/27/08

U.S. TV bosses are so thrilled with Britney Spears' guest spot on sitcom How I Met Your Mother, they want to give the pop star her own show.

The singer's cameo as a secretary in the comedy was a huge success when it aired this week (24Mar08), attracting 10 million viewers - its highest ever ratings.

And network chiefs at CBS are now planning to hand Spears future guest appearances, before creating her own spin-off sitcom.

Sources tell the National Enquirer, "Britney did a great job playing the cute, funny receptionist - and really enjoyed herself.

"Doing a TV show will help Britney keep focused - plus keep her in Los Angeles, where she can see her kids regularly and create a positive work routine."
