Kate Bosworth halted filming on the new Superman for four days when she sustained a blood blister after accidentally slamming her foot in a door.

The Wonderland beauty, who plays love interest Lois Lane in the highly anticipated superhero movie, feared she had broken her foot and was rushed to a Sydney, Australia, doctor's surgery to have the extent of her injuries assessed.

The doctor told a relieved Bosworth she had not broken any bones but had a bad blood blister under a toe nail, which he lanced.

He then advised her not to wear shoes for four days.
