Kylie Minogue Took Pay Cut During Break  5/8/05

Australian singer Kylie Minogue has taken a $1.17 million (#620,000) pay cut so she could enjoy a break from her music career.

The Spinning Around singer paid herself $722,000 (#380,000) last year (05) - compared to $1.9 million (#1 million) in 2003 and her company Darenote Limited experienced a 89 per cent fall in earnings in the 12 months to March 2004.

Minogue, who is currently on her sell-out Showgirl tour, says, "I enjoy hard work but if I had another two years like the previous two I might start not to like it so much."
