Britney Spears and Kevin Federline Sit Down for First Joint TV Interview  5/17/05

Britney Spears and her husband Kevin Federline sat down for their first ever joint TV interview this morning (17MAY05), during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show.

The couple, who wed in September (04) and will have their first child together later in the year (05), spoke with the comedienne about the joys of being married.

Father-of-two Federline cooed, "The make-ups from the arguments are the best part. Married or not, I love being with her and she's fun. She's very sweet...

You can't be serious all the time. Life's too short to be serious all the time."

He also spoke about his new life under the glare of the paparazzi, adding, "I wouldn't say it's completely hard. It gets on you sometimes. It has its ups and downs but I'm just happy with who I'm with. I love her and everything else is whatever."

DeGeneres, who joked about becoming their child's godmother, gave the couple a handful of parting gifts, which included diapers emblazoned with the words "Oops... I did it again".

To help the proud parents avoid the paparazzi, DeGeneres presented them with baseball caps. Spears' reads, "I'm not Britney Spears," while Federline's says, "I'm not Kevin Federline." A tiny one for their child says, "I'm not their baby."

They also received a "pimped out" Silver Cross pram, complete with spinning chrome wheels, neon lights and a Sony DVD player.
