Four Year Old Andre Meets His Match on Supernanny  5/17/05

FOUR-YEAR-OLD ANDREW RULES THE ROOST WITH A REIGN OF TERROR, BUT HE FINALLY MEETST HIS MATCH, ON ABC'S "SUPERNANNY"

"Weston Family" - Meet insurance salesman Fred Weston and his wife, Andrea, a homemaker and schoolteacher. The Westons are a loving, hardworking family with a big problem - a ferocious four-year-old named Andrew. Little Andrew rules the Weston house, and it's a reign of terror. He topples lawn furniture, calls his mother "Poo-poo" and bullies his eleven-month-old brother, Sean, in countless ways. Well-intentioned Fred and Andrea find themselves at their limit. They acknowledge that their tactics have been futile, but how to break the cycle and regain control? It's Supernanny to the rescue! She'll serve young Andrew a spoonful of respect and the parents an important lesson about consistency. "Supernanny" airs WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 2/14/05)

Supernanny Jo Frost catapulted to fame when the U.K. version of "Supernanny" debuted in 2004, and is a godsend to U.S. parents and media, counting Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Ripa, Newsweek and reporters nationwide among her fans. Her new book, Supernanny: How to Get the Best from Your Children, is already a New York Times bestseller.

On the program, Jo observes how parents handle their day-to-day obstacles with their children. Once she's assessed the pitfalls, she works with the parents, instilling her tried-and-true methods for transforming unwanted behavior. Then, after demonstrating just how well the new style will work and getting unbelievable results from the children, the parents must fly solo with the Supernanny techniques. For several days they try to implement Jo's suggestions, and she revisits them at the end of the program to help keep them on track for the future. When parents witness Jo's results and -- even better -- achieve them on their own, they are true believers in the Supernanny way. Best of all, children and adults alike can enjoy the lasting benefits of a more harmonious family life.

Nick Powell is the creator and executive producer of both the American and British versions of the show. Craig Armstrong is executive producer of the American version. "Supernanny" is produced by Ricochet, Ltd.

This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
