"Charlie's Angels," starring the dynamite trio of Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu and based on ABC's hit '70s television series, will air as the "ABC Thursday Movie of the Week," JUNE 2 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network (Rebroadcast. OAD: 4/28/03). Also starring are Bill Murray ("Lost in Translation"), Kelly Lynch ("Joe Somebody") and Tim Curry ("Scary Movie 2"). The movie will be presented in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and video description.

In "Charlie's Angels," the mysterious Charlie (voice of John Forsythe, TV's "Dynasty") assigns his trio of beautiful supersleuths to recover a kidnapped billionaire software developer and his revolutionary voice-recognition software. Dressed to kill, the Angels attend a party held by Roger Corwin (Tim Curry), the man they suspect of the kidnapping and theft and who stands to gain the most from the technology. The party provides the Angels with their first kick-action battle with a henchman named The Thin Man (Crispin Glover, "Willard"). The dynamic fight sequences were choreographed by martial arts master Cheung-Yan Yuen ("The Matrix").

Range, Sam Rockwell ("Confessions of a Dangerous Mind") as Eric Knox, Kelly Lynch as Vivian Wood, Tim Curry as Roger Corwin, Crispin Glover as The Thin Man, Luke Wilson ("Legally Blonde" I & II) as Pete, John Forsythe as the voice of Charles Townsend, Matt LeBlanc (TV's "Friends") as Jason Gibbons, Tom Green ("Stealing Harvard") as Chad, Betsy's skipper, LL Cool J ("Deliver Us from Eva") as Mr. Jones and Sean Whalen as Pasqual.

The 2000 release was directed by McG ("Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle") and written by Ryan Rowe, Ed Solomon ("Men in Black") and John August ("Titan A.E."), based on the television series written by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts.
