Ex-Survivor Star Shows New Side as Cooking Columnist
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- You've had many
opportunities to see Jerri Manthey. You might have seen her in either of
two installments of CBS's hit reality show Survivor, where audiences came
to know her for her bold temperament as well as her sporty blue bikini.
She was on the inaugural season of The Surreal Life on the WB. She had a
prominent role in the Showtime original movie That Championship Season.
She's been interviewed on Letterman and in TV Guide and Entertainment
Weekly.
Now Manthey is revealing even more of herself on the Internet: that she
can both write and cook. Manthey, who recently taped a pilot for a cooking
show and has worked as a personal chef, now heads a new slate of cooking
columnists at CDKitchen.com (http://www.cdkitchen.com ).
CDKitchen.com, a website exclusively represented by Adtegrity.com, is
one of the oldest and largest cooking and recipe websites in the world.
"We long have come up right near the top in Google search rankings
when somebody searches for a recipe," says Valerie Whitmore, company
president. "But we were looking to expand the cooking side of our
business, in part to celebrate our tenth anniversary online. That's when
we came up with plans to launch a host of new cooking features, headlined
by our interesting and diverse columnists."
In addition to Manthey, other columnists that CDKitchen.com introduced
this month include Sara Rae Gore, a former Miss Teen USA finalist and one
of the current stars of a hit off-Broadway production who also works as a
chef. Lauren Braun Costello, the owner of a Manhattan catering company,
occasionally appears on the WNBC-TV morning show and has had her food
photographed for Lifetime magazine, the Boston Globe, and other print
media outlets. And Rebecca Michaels is a pastry chef who graduated with
distinction from the famed French Culinary Institute.
"Cooking is one of my great passions and I look forward to sharing
little pieces of myself while writing about one of my favorite things:
Food! I've always felt the heartbeat of every home is in the kitchen. Many
thanks to CDKitchen.com for giving me this opportunity!" says Manthey
of her new experience as a food writer. Fans can find new articles updated
weekly at CDKitchen.com. SOURCE CDKitchen.com
