Pop beauty Kylie Minogue's official website has been temporarily shut down due to the overwhelming number of messages from fans following yesterday's

(17MAY05) shock announcement she has breast cancer.

The Spinning Around singer's site Kylie.com was swamped with emails from concerned admirers pledging their love and support, causing web monitors to close it down while they strive to deal with the constant stream of messages.

The 36-year-old star discovered she had the disease earlier this week

(begs16MAY05) during a visit to her family in her home town of Melbourne, Victoria.

And she has apologized to fans for postponing the Australian and Asian legs of her Showgirl Tour and her performances at England's Glastonbury Festival.
