American Women Want to Look Like Oprah  5/18/05

Oprah Winfrey has been voted the female most American women want to look like in a new survey.

In a national survey conducted by Allure magazine, the billionaire talk show host - who has had well-documented battles with her weight - is now the envy of women across the US.

Winfrey was followed by Sophia Loren and then Meryl Streep in the poll.

The results show a surprising bias against thin celebrities, according to the magazine's editor Linda Wells, who says, "Women don't have to be an impossible creature. (They are saying) no, I won't be Gisele (Budchen), and that's okay."
