Tom Cruise Takes Mission: Impossible II Work Home 5/24/05

Tom Cruise was so eager to perfect the script for Mission: Impossible III, he moved writer Frank Darabont into his home until it was complete.

Veteran writer Darabont served as a script consultant on the movie, which is currently in pre-production, and was given a home above Cruise's garage until he was done going over the details.

He says, "When I was doing work for Cruise on Mission: Impossible III, I was going 12, 14 hours a day at the computer, seven days a week...

"I wrote my a*s off... The third draft I was actually writing in a room above Cruise's garage. I actually moved to his house...

"He'd come up and we'd read the scenes together... So I'm sitting there with my computer up in this room above his garage and I would write through a couple of scenes and then literally I'd yell out the window... and he'd come running out of whatever the hell he was doing and give me his complete focus. We'd read through the scenes and then we'd talk through it.

"It was instantaneous, creative decision-making. We'd round robin the ideas and decide on what the notes were and then he'd go off and I'd work that scene through again."
