Maria Sharapova in Bottle Form  5/26/05

Tennis champion Maria Sharapova has announced she is to launch her own fragrance this autumn (05).

The 18-year-old, who won shot to international fame when she won the prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament in London last year (04), is excited her scent will provide her with a new hobby outside of the racquet sport.

Sharapova says, "I can't say too much as it's top secret but it's very light and fresh, with hints of magnolia. I wanted it to be something people could wear all day long."

The fragrance is likely to be named after Sharapova and will come in a bright pink bottle.
