Russell Crowe: New Song Isn't About Me  5/26/05

Russell Crowe is baffled by the response to his new song Worst in the World, because everybody thinks it's about him.

In the track, the actor/singer sings, "I am only as I am / Not Satan, I'm not a superman" - which fans have taken as a reference to his battle with the media over his image as a hellraiser.

But Crowe tells website The Scoop, "The character in this song is fictitious.

I'm not singing about me.

"Everybody who's heard the song so far says something like, 'It's about time you said something about the media.' I have no idea what that means."
