Nicole Richie Fears Dance Floor Exposure 5/26/05

Lionel Richie's daughter Nicole is so fearful of exposing herself when she's dancing, she has taken to wearing shorts when she goes out.

The aspiring singer, a former close pal of hotel heiress Paris Hilton and former star of The Simple Life, says her love of skimpy skirts often risks an embarrassing situation, so she's relying on the sturdiness of shorts for dancing instead.

She says, "I like short skirts. Sometimes if I hear a good song, I just like to kick my legs up, so I like to wear shorts."
