Eva Longoria Glad Fame Came Late  5/29/05

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is glad her acting career didn't take off before she was 30 - because the fame would have gone to her head if she'd been younger.

Longoria shot to fame as Gabrielle Solis in the hit TV comedy, in which she was the only previously-unknown actress in the female cast.

But the 30-year-old beauty now admits she couldn't have coped with being famous any earlier in life.

She says, "I wasn't a successful actress until I was 30, and I'm glad about that.

"All this would have completely gone to my head if it had happened ten years ago. I just wouldn't have known how to handle it."
