Vin Diesel: Action is Too Easy  5/31/05

Tough guy actor Vin Diesel relished the chance to ditch action for a kids movie

- because he'd become bored of being the tough guy.

The XXX star plays a Navy Seal turned nanny in Disney's recent film The Pacifier.

He says, "The action films are physically demanding but otherwise almost too easy. It's a great genre that I'm very comfortable in but I'm really one for career diversification. It's great to do something that's different from what people expect."

Meanwhile, he's not worried about alienating fans of his action films - they can enjoy The Pacifier with their younger relatives: "Tell them to bring their little brothers and sisters to this one and call it a fair trade."
