Tom Cruise: "I Can't Wait to Get Married"  5/3/06

Tom Cruise revealed he can't wait to get married to Katie Holmes during an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman last night (02MAY06).

The Mission: Impossible III star gushed about his two-week-old daughter Suri, but was quick to bite back when Letterman pointed out he has yet to wed the mother of his child, former Dawson's Creek star Holmes.

Cruise said, "Did you have to bring it up? I can't wait to get married."

He said of Suri, "She's a beauty. It's crazy. Kate and I can't take our eyes off of her," adding of the birth, "It's exciting and kind of surreal because, all of a sudden, it's happening. Suddenly there's going to be this other person, and I found myself wanting to relish every moment and not forget it."

Holmes is looking after baby Suri while Cruise travels the world promoting the latest installment in the action franchise.
