Reese Witherspoon: "My Marriage is Sound"  5/10/06

Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon has lashed out at reports suggesting her marriage is in trouble, insisting she and husband Ryan Phillippe are closer than ever. 

The Walk the Line star, who has five-year-old daughter Ava with Phillippe, is furious that previous comments she has made about her marriage have been warped by the media. 

She says, "It's sad to see that when you're honest and talk about the normal ups and downs that it gets taken out of context. "Ryan and I have a great marriage. I see him as not only my husband, but my best friend."
