Desperate Housewives Cast Culled Confirmed  5/19/06

Hit series Desperate Housewives will see massive cast cuts at the end of season two, according to actor James Denton.

Denton, who plays Wisteria Lane's hunky plumber Mike Defino, claims many of the show's major characters, including himself, have had to take a back seat among too many new faces, but this is about to be remedied.

He explains, "You're watching the second season and Mike doesn't have much to do... but I just got the main storyline for season three and I'm pleased that Mike features more prominently.

"Our cast grew too much this year and some of the characters got lost in the shuffle. But we'll be losing a handful of actors at the end of this series and I don't think they're going to be replaced."
