Fans attending Madonna's concert in Los Angeles this weekend (21MAY06) may have to battle hundreds of union picketers.

Organizers from the stage employees union have been attempting to rally workers to protest at the concert since the star's dress rehearsal at the Los Angeles Forum on Monday (14MAY06).

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has been locked out of the venue since 11 April (06), following a salary dispute with the stadium's owners.

Union representative Jim Wright claims several hundred people are expected to picket outside the concert on Sunday (21MAY06) and will urge concert-goers not to buy concessions or souvenirs at the controversial site.

Wright tells website TMZ the union tried to convince the star to move her Confessions tour to another venue, but she refused.
