Kate Beckinsale Dropped From Underworld 3  5/22/06

Actress Kate Beckinsale has been dropped from the third installment of the Underworld film series.

The star's husband, writer and director Len Wiseman, is penning a prequel to the first two films - but Beckinsale's character, the leather clad avenger Selena, won't be needed, according to moviehole.net

She explains, "I think it's prequel before I'm actually in it, so I think that won't include me if it happens."
