Jennifer Aniston Almost Missed Out on The Break Up  5/23/06

Jennifer Aniston almost missed out on a role in new movie The Break Up, because movie bosses thought it insensitive to ask her so soon after her split from Brad Pitt. 

The former Friends star jumped at the chance to confront the issue, once producers plucked up the courage to ask her. 

Aniston jokes, "The producers were a little hesitant to come to me because they through there was no way I was going to want to do a movie about a break-up. But there is no better way to heal than laughter and making fun of something. So I was lucky. "It was v cathartic. It was very healing. There was lots of laughter." 

Besides an acting role, The Break-Up also lead to love for Aniston - she met her current boyfriend Vince Vaughn on set.
