Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Donate to Namibian Hospitals  5/30/06

New parents Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have marked the birth of their first biological child, by donating $300,000 to local hospitals in Namibia.

Jolie gave birth to Shilioh Nouvel Jolie Pitt at The Cottage Hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia, on Saturday (27MAY06).

The couple have given the large sum to two state-run hospitals, and also made a second donation of $15,000 for a school and community centre in the town.

A statement from the Hollywood pair reads, "We want to contribute to Namibia and the people who have been so gracious to us at this time."

Jolie and Pitt have been dating since last year (05) and the actor has since become the adoptive father of the movie beauty's adopted children Maddox and Zahara Marley.
