Jane Fonda: "No Regrets Over Telling Lindsay Lohan Off"  5/4/07

Acting veteran Jane Fonda has no regrets of her on-set chastisement of Georgia Rule co-star Lindsay Lohan, insisting the young actress is "a nice girl, but she was late a few times".

The cast and crew of Georgia Rule were so unhappy with Lohan's behavior on the set of the movie, that both Fonda and the film's producer James G.

Robinson, publicly reprimanded the 20-year-old.

Lohan had arrived on set late several times and had called in sick - despite being photographed partying the night before.

Fonda tells the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, "I think she's a fantastic actress and I think she's just brilliant in this movie. She moved me to pieces.

Basically, she's a nice girl, but she was late a few times and I yelled at her.

"One day I had had enough and went to her make-up trailer and said, 'Come on, Lindsay! Everybody's waiting for you!' And I just turned on my heel and walked out.

"Afterwards, they told me she turned to her make-up person and said, 'Barbarella just yelled at me!'"

Last month (Apr07), Lohan admitted she had been "a bit irresponsible" while making the movie, but claimed this was because she was experiencing problems with her then-boyfriend Harry Morton.
