Colin Farrell in Love Triangle Tragedy  5/4/07

The ex-boyfriend of Colin Farrell's new girlfriend has committed suicide after struggling to cope with his former lover's new relationship.

Muireann McDonnell started dating the Phone Booth star last December (06), shortly after splitting with 22-year-old John Mark Knight.

A friend tells British newspaper The Sun, "He struggled to cope with her seeing somebody else. The fact it was Colin Farrell must have made matters worse."
