Lilly Allen: "Kate Moss Saved Me"  5/11/07

British pop star Lily Allen has hailed Kate Moss as a heroine, after the supermodel protected her during a fight.

The Smile singer was attacked by a gang of girls after being wrongly accused of sleeping with a one of the group's boyfriend at English music festival Glastonbury.

When Moss witnessed the furor, she stepped in to halt the chaos.

Allen says, "They beat me up. They stabbed me in the ear with a beer can and cut my eye open and I had two black eyes.

"It was a nightmare.

"I only have nice things to say about Kate. She actually jumped to my defense. Kate stood in and said, 'Stop being so mean.' So I have nothing bad to say about her, she's only ever been lovely to me."
