GSN Acquires Network Game Show "Show Me the Money"  5/23/07

GSN Acquires Primetime Network Game Show 'SHOW ME THE MONEY' William Shatner-Hosted Skein Airs on GSN Beginning Tuesday, June 12 at 8PM and Includes Two Unaired Episodes

SANTA MONICA, Calif. /PRNewswire/ -- GSN has acquired rights to SHOW ME THE MONEY, the high-energy game show hosted by William Shatner. It will air on GSN Tuesdays at 8 PM beginning June 12. The seven episodes include two which never aired during ABC's original 2006 run. These never-before-seen episodes will make their television premiere on GSN July 17 and July 24.

Produced by Endemol USA and distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television, SHOW ME THE MONEY features Shatner as master of ceremonies with "Million-dollar Dancers" as his on-stage helpers and spontaneous dance partners.

"SHOW ME THE MONEY is the perfect marriage of a game show and a variety show," said Jamie Roberts, Senior VP, Programming, GSN. "We think our viewers will enjoy this winning combination."

SHOW ME THE MONEY features contestants answering a series of trivia questions. After each answer, contestants choose from among thirteen beautiful dancers on stage, all of which are holding a scroll with a dollar amount printed on it. If the contestant's answer to the question is correct, the recently-revealed dollar amount is added to their pot. Conversely, if they answer incorrectly, the dollar amount is subtracted from their winnings. The dollar amounts on each scroll vary greatly, intensifying the drama and the need for correct answers; depending on which dancer the contestant chooses, even seemingly huge gains can be decimated in an instant. Contestants are also required to continue playing until all dancers have been called upon, allowing no opportunity to play cautiously by calling it quits while they are ahead.

Host William Shatner, best-known for originating the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the iconic 1960s Star Trek series currently stars in his Emmy-winning role as Denny Crane on "Boston Legal." SHOW ME THE MONEY was executive produced by Mike Nichols.
