Lindsay Lohan's representatives have addressed the actress' return to rehab, pleading with the press to "respect her privacy".

The 20-year-old, who was arrested for driving under the influence on Saturday (26May07) after crashing her Mercedes in Beverly Hills, entered the Promises clinic in Malibu on Monday (28May07) - a day earlier than previously thought.

A statement posted on TMZ reads, "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."

Earlier this year (07), the Mean Girls star received treatment at rehab clinic the Wonderland Center in Hollywood.
