Criss Angel Denies Dating Cameron Diaz Reports  6/1/07

Illusionist Criss Angel has laughed off reports he's dating Cameron Diaz, asking why a beauty like her would be interested in someone like him.

The Las Vegas-based magic man has been spotted dining with Diaz in recent weeks, but he insists reports of a romance are ridiculous.

He poses, "Do you think that Cameron Diaz, the most beautiful women in the world, would have any interest in me?

"We're just friends when it comes down to it - no benefits, just friends.

Friendship is an important thing in life. she doesn't want anything from me. I don't want anything from her.

"We have a lot of fun. The truth of the matter is she's an awesome person, a friend. We do what friends do. We have a good time."

Angel, who was also romantically linked to British actress Minnie Driver at the beginning of 2007, admits he's struggling to hang out with friends, while running from the paparazzi.

He tells U.S. TV show Extra, "We try to do things like anybody else and it doesn't pan out."
