Ashlee Simpson Thanks Wentz For Stability 5/5/08

Pop princess Ashlee Simpson has credited her relationship with rocker Pete Wentz for keeping her "grounded". The Bittersweet hitmaker - who announced her engagement to the Fall Out Boy star last month (Apr08) - insists she surrounds herself with good people to ever end up like troubled stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

She explains, "I don't see myself following the path those girls take. I'm almost 24. I'm pretty together and I'm getting married. "I wouldn't ever let myself get that way and I don't surround myself with 'yes' people. I think that's the most important thing. "People don't control me or anything I do and I've never had that problem."
