Madonna Scores U.K. Chart Double 5/5/08

Madonna has scored a U.K. chart double - 4 Minutes remains atop the singles chart, while her 11th studio release Hard Candy has debuted at number one on the albums chart.

It is the fourth time in her career she has occupied the summits of both charts simultaneously - this time with her 13th number one single and her 10th chart-topping LP.

Sam Sparro's Black and Gold sits at number two, while Wiley's Wearing My Rolex is at three.

Usher's Love In This Club is at four, and Estelle's American Boy completes the top five at five.

Portishead's comeback LP Third debuts at number two in the albums chart and Duffy's Rockferry moves up one place to three.

Last week's number one album, The Last Shadow Puppets' The Age Of The Understatement, drops to four, while Sparro's self-titled debut album is a new entry at five.
