Madonna To Sell Country House? 5/6/08

Pop superstar Madonna is reportedly planning to put her English country home on the market - and is eyeing a profit of $6 million (£3 million).

The singer bought the house in Wiltshire, England, for $18 million (£9 million) with her husband Guy Ritchie, a year after the couple married in 2000. But they now stand to gain a huge profit if the luxurious property, which boasts eight bathrooms and two gyms, sells for their asking price of $24 million (£12 million).

Madonna and Ritchie - who split their time between the country estate and their Marylebone, London, townhouse - are said to own a further five houses in the British capital, as well as a home in Beverly Hills and an apartment in New York.
